Step One: Weigh
Weigh 15 grams of water to every 1 gram of coffee on the Escali Primo Digital Scale. We like to use 360 grams of water and 24 grams of coffee for a single large mug (approximately
three heaping tablespoons of coffee for 12 ounces of water).
Step Two: Grind
Ideally, freshly grind your weighed coffee with a burr grinder such as the Hario Skerton Grinder.
Step Three: Pre-rinse
Pre-rinse a Hario V60 Filter in the Hario V60 Dripper with hot water. Place the ground coffee into the pre-rinsed filter.
Step Four: Pre-infuse
Pre-infuse the grounds with about 30-50 grams of water for 30 seconds.
Step Five: Pour
Pour water between 195°F and 205°F using a Hario Buono Kettle. Slowly pour the remainder of your water. Total brew time should be 2½ to 3½ minutes.
Step Six: Brew
Watch your coffee brew in a Hario 600 ml Range Server. |
